ABOUT
​Emily is the author of all the time more than anything. ​Her poems have been published in Chronogram, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, RHINO Poetry, Half Mystic, and Ocean State Review, among others. In 2021, Emily was awarded Palette Poetry's Sappho Prize for Women Poets, selected by Maggie Smith. She has an MFA in poetry from The New School.

Emily's experience is eclectic: she is a published poet, professional editor and writer with over 8 years of experience in traditional and digital publishing, journalism and freelance writing. She can edit shortform (news, articles, blogs, essays, etc.) and longform (features, poetry and fiction manuscripts, scripts, non-fiction, etc.) works. She is the former assistant to the Editor of Oxford University Press’ Classics & Ancient History book list. She has published thousands of articles across websites like CBR, Newsweek, Us Weekly, Looper, Food Republic, and more.
From the years 2014 to 2017, Emily performed in poetry slam at colleges across the country as part of the New Paltz Slam Poetry team. She is also a teaching artist who has led workshops for people of all ages, from high schoolers to the elderly.

Emily is from Long Island and lives in Queens. She plans to live in New York forever. She wishes she had been a dancer.
